Salmon River Rafting Trip 2 & 3 Day Overnight Adventures

Idaho’s Best Whitewater, Beaches & Camping Experiences

Your Salmon River Getaway

Discover the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation on the legendary Salmon River, one of Idaho’s most scenic and exciting rafting destinations. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or an extended outdoor escape, our 2-day and 3-day Salmon River rafting trips deliver unforgettable whitewater, pristine beaches, and star-filled nights in the canyon. We typically run our 2-day overnight trips early in the season, when river flows are higher and the days are full of energy and excitement. As summer progresses, our 3-day trips offer the same great whitewater at lower flows, with more time to relax on the warm beaches, swim, fish, and enjoy the long, sunny Idaho days.

2-Day Salmon River Overnight Rafting Trip

Our popular 2-day overnight rafting trip is ideal for families, couples, and first-time rafters who want to experience the best of the Salmon River in a shorter format. Over two days, you’ll raft through thrilling Class III whitewater, swim in calm pools, and relax on warm sandy beaches.

Spend the night camping on a beautiful riverside beach, complete with a cozy campfire, hearty dinner, and breathtaking views of the Salmon River Canyon, the second deepest canyon in North America. Wake up to a fresh, guide-prepared breakfast before another fun day on the water.

Along the way, enjoy short hikes, natural hot springs, and the chance to spot Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Deer, and Bald Eagles. It’s the perfect way to unplug, unwind, and share an adventure with friends and family.

3-Day Salmon River Rafting Trip

More Time to Explore, Relax & Play

The 3-day Salmon River adventure is an extended version of our overnight trip, offering even more time to enjoy everything this incredible canyon has to offer. Raft 36 miles of scenic whitewater, explore side trails, swim, fish, and unwind on pristine white sand beaches that feel like your own private paradise.

Each night, you’ll camp under the stars and savor 5-star Dutch Oven meals prepared by your professional river guides. Spend your days floating through Class III–IV rapids, hiking to natural hot springs, and soaking up the beauty of Idaho’s wild landscapes.

Every trip is designed with care, passion, and attention to detail. Our team of professional guides and support staff go above and beyond to make your Salmon River experience unforgettable — from expertly navigating whitewater to creating the perfect riverside camp. Here’s what sets our trips apart:

Fun, Professional Guides
Our experienced, licensed guides make every trip fun, safe, and educational. They share the Salmon River canyon’s rich history, point out wildlife, and ensure you experience the best of Idaho’s whitewater and riverside camping.

More Than Just Rafting
Each trip is crafted to include unique stops — from ancient pictograph sites and historic homesteads to Chinese rock houses, old mining sites, and hidden hot springs — all surrounded by breathtaking canyon scenery.

Camp & Kitchen Set Up for You
A dedicated gear boat and guide travel ahead to set up your camp and dining area, including comfortable tents, tables, and chairs. This gives you more time to relax, explore, or play with your family — we take care of everything.

Experience You Can Trust

Personal Attention & Small Groups
With a low guide-to-guest ratio (1 guide for every 3–4 guests), you’ll enjoy personalized attention, great conversation, and lasting friendships around the campfire.

Deluxe “River Glamping” Experience
We provide everything — quality tents, thick sleeping pads, cozy sleeping bags, and gourmet riverside meals prepared for your dietary needs. You’ll be amazed at how comfortable and delicious river camping can be!

All-Inclusive Hospitality
Every trip includes complimentary wine, juices, sparkling waters, and sodas (and yes, we always have plenty of ice!). Just bring your sense of adventure — we’ll handle the rest.

Yes! You’ll want to capture the incredible Salmon River scenery. A waterproof camera or GoPro is ideal. Many guests use their smartphones, but remember there’s no cell service or power on the river. Bring a waterproof case and portable power bank to keep your phone safe and charged during your adventure.

Not at all! Your Salmon River rafting trip begins with a thorough riverside safety orientation, where your guides will explain what to do if you fall in, how to float safely, and how rescues work.

Most guests quickly gain confidence and even find that a quick swim (planned or not!) becomes one of the most exciting parts of the trip. The best way to stay in the boat is simple — listen to your guide and hold on. Many guests take multiple trips without ever falling in, but if you do, you’ll know exactly what to do and may end up loving the splash!

Yes! Fishing is available on all Salmon River trips for guests with a valid Idaho fishing license. Just let us know in advance if you’d like to fish, and we’ll provide the necessary gear and tackle upon request.

The side streams and areas around camp often offer excellent opportunities when river conditions are right. You’re also welcome to bring your own equipment — especially fly rods — but please note we can’t guarantee against loss or damage.

For dedicated anglers, we also offer custom fishing-focused trips — ask our team for details when booking!
